php|architect published an article in the January issue about the Transliteration Extension . In this article I explain all the different filters and where transliteration of scripts is useful - as an example is generation of "nice urls" from a CMS given. The same issue also has an article about "Generating OpenOffice.org documents" written by my collegue Bård .

Yeah , cool article (I have read it in french in direction|php)
As it's using a PECL package, it's not easy to include it in an opensource application frequently use on shared servers
