GSoC 2008: Optimizer
The new Google Summer of Code is starting, and the PHP Project is participating again. This year my pet-peeve is Ilia's optimizer for APC . I hope this will just as beneficial as last year's circular-reference project. If you're interested in becoming familiar with PHP's internals, this is the project for you.
